Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on November 18 of 1985 at Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor from Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was a natural at sports early in her life, and discovered her ability to sprint when she attended Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after her very first tryout. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation and signed a professional deal with the sports organization Adidas after which she enrolled in the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She set the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest world champion of 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She retained her title in 2007 defeating her long-time Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was a participant at her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo constantly placing within the top three of her competitions.
